A Year in Pictures

2011 has surely been a year for the books. We bought a house. I left my job. We had a baby. We got pregnant with another baby... I think it's safe to say that this year alone has brought me more joy, tears, love, hope, anxiety, excitement, stress and pure thankfulness than any other year of my life. Here are a handful of pictures for every month that just make my heart squee, to highlight the best moments this year has offered us...

January

We had our anatomy scan for Baby One and found out we were having a boy! Everything was perfect and baby was healthy... horray!

February
We took a much needed Babymoon to Mexico and spent 5 days doing absolutely nothing on a warm, sandy beach. It was divine.


March
We started the tumultuous process of house hunting and began packing up our one-bedroom apartment... the only home we'd ever known as Husband & Wife!

April
We were showered with love and gifts at our baby shower and we took maternity pictures during the cherry blossom festival in Downtown D.C.


May
May '11 was a big month for us! We bought our first home and a short three weeks later, welcomed our son Kyran Luca into this world.


June
We took newborn pictures with the fabulous Melissa Manzione and began learning the ropes of this crazy adventure called Parenthood!



July
We celebrated the fourth with friends and fireworks and Kyran went on his first trip to the beach with Hubs' family in Sea Isle City, New Jersey.


August
Kyran attended his first wedding! Hubs' brother got married in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.


September
We marveled at how big our little man was getting as we celebrated the end of an amazing summer and also the one-year anniversary of the day we found out we were going to be parents.


October
We took our first vacation as a family and flew to Orange County, California to visit Hubs' sister. Kyran saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time, went wine tasting (haha) and attended his cousin Aiden's first birthday party!


November
HOLY CRAP. We're going to be parents... AGAIN!!! We also celebrated Thanksgiving at Deep Creek Lake with my family... one of my favorite childhood vacation places.


December
Ky was mesmerized (and spoiled) by his first Christmas, celebrated in Philadelphia with his Italian Family. We also found out that Baby #2 is going to be a little girl!

What an incredible year! We are so thankful for all the amazing things that have happened to us this last year and cannot WAIT to see what 2012 brings! Happy New Year to you and yours! See you next year :)
